A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal II for its San Diego office. The firm assists public agencies, businesses, and individuals across the U.S. with complex, multi-disciplinary legal matters.
The role provides advanced litigation, case management, discovery, and trial support for the firm’s Special District, Municipal, and Civil Litigation practices. Responsibilities include independently managing cases from inception through post-judgment proceedings; handling eDiscovery, document review, and privilege logging on platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO, or similar; drafting and managing pleadings, discovery, and motion practice; conducting legal research (Westlaw, Hein Online, CEB); cite-checking and proofreading briefs; and coordinating trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial calendars. The paralegal will also use AI-assisted review technologies, generative AI drafting tools, and technology-assisted review (TAR) workflows, subject to attorney oversight, and may supervise junior paralegals.
Candidates should have a B.A./B.S. degree, a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program (or qualifying work experience under California Business & Professions Code §§64506456), and a minimum of seven years of litigation paralegal experience. Strong eDiscovery, AI-tool familiarity, organizational, and communication skills are required. Flexibility to travel on short notice is expected. The role requires meeting a 1,500-hour annual billable requirement.
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000$95,000 annually.
