A leading law firm is seeking a Senior QA Software Engineer to join the Practice Engineering team within its Innovation department. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the firm’s software applications through automated and manual testing, with a strong focus on designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Playwright or comparable platforms such as Cypress and Selenium.

The Engineer will expand test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers, perform exploratory testing where automation isn’t feasible, and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. Additional responsibilities include documenting and triaging defects in collaboration with developers, maintaining reliable test environments and reporting, contributing to QA best practices and reusable test components, and working with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and quality metrics.

Candidates should have 5+ years of directly applicable experience, including hands-on work designing automation frameworks with Playwright or similar tools, along with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of web application and cross-browser testing. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, experience with performance testing, and familiarity with agile development practices.

The annual pay range is $145,000 – $210,000, with a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, generous PTO, and parental leave.
