A leading law firm is seeking an Innovation Counsel to join its Practice Innovation team, working under the guidance of the Lead Innovation Counsel. This role advances practice-specific initiatives designed to maximize the value of the firm’s innovation technologies, collaborating with practice group leadership, resource attorneys, and legal education teams to make legal technology adoption a key differentiator for the firm.

The Innovation Counsel will provide attorney-level input on technology adoption initiatives, design playbooks to help practice groups implement best practices, and organize presentations and executive briefings. The role involves close collaboration with innovation, operations, and technology leadership on initiative prioritization; partnering with legal project management and pricing teams to identify workflow improvements; and driving technology pilots, deployments, and proofs of concept. The Innovation Counsel will also support change management communications and develop practice group-specific resources in partnership with Practice Engineering.

Candidates should have 4+ years of relevant experience, including legal practice and hands-on legal technology adoption work, a J.D. or non-U.S. equivalent, and active bar membership in good standing. Preferred experience includes familiarity with core legal technologies, generative AI in legal practice, and alternative legal service models.

The annual pay range is $225,000–$285,000.
