A leading Texas-based law firm is seeking a Commercial Trucking & Transportation Litigation Associate for its Texas offices in Houston and San Antonio. The attorney will independently manage an active caseload of approximately 25+ matters in a high-volume insurance defense and commercial litigation practice, defending motor carriers, commercial trucking companies, fleet operators, and their insurers throughout Texas.

Responsibilities include handling all phases of litigation — written discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation — along with drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and client reports. The attorney will conduct legal research, prepare witnesses and experts for depositions, attend hearings and trials, coordinate with accident reconstructionists and other consultants, and analyze liability, damages, and FMCSA-related issues in consultation with assigning attorneys.

Candidates should be active members of the State Bar of Texas with 3–8+ years of trucking, transportation, catastrophic injury, or insurance defense litigation experience (plaintiff-side experience considered case-by-case), strong litigation experience in Texas state and federal courts, and the ability to travel throughout Texas as needed. The estimated base salary range is $175,000–$225,000, plus a billable-based bonus.
