A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Transactional Paralegal. This position requires the individual to reside in California and may be based in any of the firm’s offices in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, San Rafael, Sacramento, San Diego, Fresno, or Los Angeles, or fully remote for candidates based on the West Coast (Pacific Time Zone required). The role works closely with partners, associates, and other paralegals in the Real Estate + Environment practice, with an agile hybrid schedule available for those based in California.

Responsibilities center on organizing and finalizing real estate closings, including preparing closing checklists, closing files, and disclosure schedules, along with handling signature pages and original certificates. The role also involves preparing ancillary loan and purchase/sale documents (grant deeds, bills of sale, UCC financing statements, corporate resolutions), evaluating title and survey documents, ordering lien searches, and working with registered agent services and notaries. The paralegal provides direct client support and general assistance to partners and associates, with an expected 1,500 billable hours per year.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of paralegal experience with significant real estate work (seven-plus years preferred in acquisition, finance, leasing, management, and disposition), a bachelor’s degree, and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage shifting deadlines, and proficiency with MS Office, Acrobat Pro DC, Smart Sheet, and Intapp Time round out the qualifications. The salary range is $100,000–$140,000.
