Our client is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its New Business Intake and Conflicts team in either New York or Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for conducting thorough conflicts searches and analyses to support new business intake while ensuring compliance with legal ethics rules and firm policies. The analyst will research client and corporate information using internal databases and third-party resources, evaluate potential conflicts of interest, prepare and review conflicts reports, and communicate findings directly with attorneys and firm leadership.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing intake requests for accuracy, performing data entry and analysis, researching corporate structures, resolving conflicts issues, escalating complex matters when appropriate, and ensuring timely processing of all requests. The Conflicts Analyst will also assist with training team members, contribute to process and technology improvements, and collaborate closely with attorneys, the Office of General Counsel, and colleagues across the conflicts department.
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 34 years of conflicts analysis experience, preferably within a large law firm. A strong understanding of legal conflicts and ethical rules, excellent analytical and research skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience with CMS/Aderant, Dun & Bradstreet, or Hoovers is preferred.
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000$85,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
