The Lead Advanced Records Center (ARC) Paralegal supports public agency clients by managing and overseeing matters related to the California Public Records Act (CPRA). This role is available in Del Mar, Indian Wells, Irvine, Los Angeles, Ontario, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, or Walnut Creek and serves as the primary point of contact for clients seeking guidance on CPRA requests. Responsibilities include analyzing records requests, defining search parameters, supervising document review, conducting quality control, preparing written responses, tracking statutory deadlines, and ensuring compliance with applicable public records laws and privacy requirements. The position also oversees a team of paralegals, manages multiple concurrent projects, coordinates secure document collection and production, and collaborates with technical support teams to maintain document review databases and eDiscovery workflows.

Qualified candidates must possess strong organizational, analytical, project management, and written communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently. Applicants should have experience with eDiscovery platforms, workflow management software, Kofax PDF, Microsoft Office, and iManage. A thorough understanding of CPRA exemptions and related California disclosure laws is required, along with the ability to obtain the Association of eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS) certification. Candidates must meet California Business and Professions Code requirements for paralegals and hold a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or accredited program. The expected salary range for candidates with four or more years of experience is $90,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience.
