The Litigation Paralegal provides comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation, from pre-litigation through trial, including mediation and settlement. This role combines substantive paralegal work with administrative responsibilities such as managing calendars, scheduling, time entry, and preparing legal documents. Key duties include conducting legal research, drafting discovery, subpoenas, and motions, managing document productions, reviewing and summarizing records, and assisting with ESI and litigation databases. The paralegal also supports deposition and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing witnesses, drafting notices, and assembling trial materials. Additional responsibilities include maintaining case files, preparing chronologies, and coordinating with agencies such as the EEOC and DFEH.
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of civil litigation paralegal experience, including 3+ years in labor and employment law, preferably within a mid-size or large law firm. An ABA-accredited paralegal certification is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong knowledge of court rules and discovery procedures, along with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, iManage, Relativity, and legal research platforms. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $125,000 annually.
